# Artwork provenance

## Witness assembly

The Witness assembly illustration was generated with OpenAI image generation. The original generated PNG is included in `assets/media/`, with a content fingerprint in its final filename. It is displayed on the homepage and Witnesses page with an in-world caption. The project disclosure and these credits record its AI-generated provenance.

**Creative brief:** a cinematic ensemble of five fictional adults working together in an Earth-side observatory and archive at night. Evidence photographs, sketches, models, and an illuminated table give the group a shared task. A distant coast and Mars connect the scene to the traveler’s story. The palette uses midnight blue, amber, and silver. The image contains no real witnesses, testimony, quotations, or claims of an actual gathering.

Original dimensions: 1672 × 941 pixels. No photographic evidence is implied by this scene.

## Existing illustrations

The traveler portrait, factory, authorization test bay, departure scene, coastline, and earlier coin artwork were supplied in the original project archive. The narrative illustrations are retained; the homepage uses the current owner-supplied coin documented below. Superseded artwork remains available in earlier delivered versions. Narrative illustrations use in-world captions; the disclosure and credits explain their nature. Existing filenames that mention a flight number are asset identifiers; they do not bind Transmission Event 001 to a real flight.

## Share Studio

Share cards are rendered by the site’s own canvas code using text, geometric forms, and the XSIGNAL visual system. They do not alter the supplied illustrations. Invitation cards use the Witness invitation slogans and current Return Record. The site disclosure explains the project’s genre. Factual exhibit cards retain a source, date, status, and limitations, with the complete source URLs included in the accompanying caption.

## Current coin artwork — 24 October 2026

The owner supplied `Radiant Blue Signal Coin(1).png` as the current official coin image. The deployment uses `assets/media/xsignal-radiant.1212373d29e0.png`, copied byte for byte from that 1254 × 1254 PNG. CSS aligns its visible rim within the existing circular display without editing or resampling the source image. It replaces the earlier coin on the homepage. The superseded coin with the retired project name in its filename is excluded from the current package; earlier delivered versions retain it.
